2020 SEASON
PASSES
The cast of Black Kid Joy has performed in the Governor's Mansion, Immaculata University, Central Penn University, Neumann University, and the University of the Arts. Black Kid Joy also took residency at Portland Mainstage Theatre in 2019 and returns to Portland in March 2020 for another 4-day performance.
"4 yrs ago, I wrote this show for my birthday and to celebrate my 10th yr. Anniversary with JGP. Super cool to have it grow as such a staple in the community and now abroad.
The music, singing, dancing, energy, colorful themes, and messages - people of all ages, backgrounds, colors and cultures love it. ❤ I'm thrilled to have it shared so publicly and honestly. It's blackity black black black! I can't wait to see what this production becomes and evolves into over the next few years.
🙏🏽 Pray for the cast as we work hard to spread this message of blackness to the world. It's a message of joy, strength, hope, and unity. We're making history!
